
Following his solo debut at age 8, Alexander began his international career as a soloist, chamber musician, and composer, bringing the harp to new audiences throughout 35 countries and five continents. Hailed for his "absolutely thrilling" performances (Bachtrack), Alexander Boldachev, the headliner of his instrument, Official Artist for Salvi Harps, Guest Artist of Bolshoi Theater, Founder of the Harp Festival Zurich, has been breaking the mold of the 21st-century harpist with unprecedented virtuosity on both the concert pedal harp as well as the Salvi Delta electric harp. Her fans, and all music lovers, are eagerly awaiting 2021, when gamin, as soloist, will perform her Carnegie Hall debut with the Nangye Gugak Orchestra. Closing out 2019, gamin will be Artist-in-Residence at Brandeis Uniersity, and continues her tour to Mexico City, Berlin, and Seoul. Gamin was featured artist at the Silkroad concert, Seoul, 2018, performing on-stage with Yo-Yo Ma. Gamin has collaborated in cross-cultural improvisations in NYC with world-acclaimed musician Jane Ira Bloom, presenting premieres at Roulette Theater, New School, and Metropolitan Museum, NYC. Re-inventing new sonorities from ancient, somewhat restrictive, musical systems, gamin has received several cultural exchange program grants, including Artist-in-Residence (2014) at the Asian Cultural Council, Rockefeller University, and Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism of the Republic of Korea (2012). Gamin was second principal piri player at National Gugak Orchestra, 2004-10. She is a designated Yisuja, official holder of Important Intangible Cultural Asset No. Gamin plays piri (double reed Korean oboe), taepyeonso (double-reed horn), and saenghwang (mouth organ). Since then she has been teaching at Victory Academy Berlin for musical excellence®.
